CO-OP Students Sharing Working Experience
As we move into Second Quarter of 2025, we look back at the valuable insights shared by our CO-OP students who were with us during the Fall Semester of 2024. In this blog post, we’ll be showcasing their reflections on their experiences at the firm — from September to December. Their thoughts offer a unique perspective on what it's like to work with us and the growth they experienced during their time here.
"Working as a Co-op with Prasad & Company was a wonderful experience providing me real-world exposure to assurance and tax. In the last semester, I have had the opportunity to work with experienced professionals applying what was taught in school to real-life scenarios learning about financial systems and compliance with accounting standards. My work consists of compiling notices to readers, corporate tax returns and financial bookkeeping using software like TaxCycle, CaseWare, and QuickBooks among others. Besides enhancing my technical knowledge, I have also developed soft skills like critical thinking, teamwork and communication. Overall this experience has helped my understanding of this profession while also serving as a strong foundation for similar future endeavors."

"Working at Prasad & Company LLP was an amazing experience where I got hands-on exposure to a variety of files. I learned a lot about managing the variances in Compilation files while also developing a broader understanding of assurance by assisting with review and audit files. What made it even better was the team, everyone was friendly and supportive, always willing to help and share their knowledge, which made learning so much easier. The collaborative environment not only enhanced my accounting knowledge but also helped me gain a lot of confidence in my work. Overall, it was definitely a great experience that gave me a solid foundation for my future career in accounting."
